FAQs

If you have a question that’s not answered here, just ask us! You can email Fran or Matt and we’ll do our best to answer. If we don’t know, we’ll ask our mums.

Is there a dress code for your wedding?

You’ve met us – we’re not ‘dress code’ people! Wear whatever you want that makes you feel fantastic. We’re going for a warm, colourful, autumnal wedding feel, and part of that is everyone feeling happy and comfortable. It being October, it could be 8º or 28ºC, so keep this in mind! But while the garden and outdoor areas will be open to guests, everything else will be indoors. If you’d still like guidance, we’d say jackets for men, no shorts (it’s October, people!) and wear something you’re happy to dance in – because the band will be briefed to get you moving!

Can I stay at the hotel the night before?

Yes, the more the merrier! While we only have exclusive booking of the hotel’s rooms on the Saturday night, we’ve arranged discounted rates for guests who want to stay on Friday as well. Midhurst is a picturesque market town full of lovely pubs, shops and places to eat, with lots to see and do nearby. We’d love to see you for a nerves-calming drink the night before, plus the hotel has a lovely spa where you can enjoy a swim in the pool or some pre-wedding pampering.

How do I book a room at the hotel?

Please call the hotel on 01730 816 911 to book your room and take advantage of the wedding guest discount. Just tell them you’re booking for the Suter wedding.

If the venue books up, where can I stay?

We hope there will be enough room for everyone to stay! But in the event that there’s an overflow, there are plenty of other places to stay in Midhurst. We’ll add links when we’ve got more of an idea of numbers.

Are children welcome?

As much as we love your little ones, the wedding will be an adults-only celebration (with the exception of babies in arms). We’d love for everyone to be able to relax, let their hair down… and get a full slice of wedding cake to themselves.

Will there be vegan, vegetarian or gluten-free food options?

Absolutely. When you RSVP, please let us know of any dietary requirements so we can pass this on to the hotel, and don’t forget to specify by name the person in your party to whom it relates. Thanks!

Is there parking?

There’s ample parking in the hotel’s car park and surrounding streets, so you should be fine!

Is there a gift list?

No gifts, please – we have each other, and we have you, our friends and family. We’ve got all we need.
